A Letter from the Director

Dear Reader,

This year has been surprising, challenging, and enlightening. The Teaching About Religion team hasn't stopped working on this film, because we see it as a tool to make a better future for everyone. We believe that our film about the World Religions class at Prospect will inspire educators, community leaders, and students.

Teaching young people about religious literacy and critical thinking is a concrete step towards growing religious tolerance in the United States. For a nation that is part of an increasingly connected world, religious literacy has emerged as an essential bridge to tolerance and global understanding.

Teaching About Religion will show how students are taught to overcome their preconceived notions about religion and culture. As the students become aware of how religion and culture are embedded in everyday life, so too will the audience.

To do this, we need your help.

Fundraising this time of year is essential as we finalize our budget for 2021. What we raise now can help us work with our assistant editor, Lily, as we move towards an assembly cut. Anything you give makes a difference. No amount is too small!

Every dollar counts which is why with each donation over $15 from now until December 31st, you'll receive a Teaching About Religion sticker in the mail!
