Teaching About Religion Fundraiser Recap

Thank you so much to all who attended our Teaching About Religion summer fundraisers earlier this week. We heard from past students of the World Religions class, Carly and Ayse, and teacher John Camardella on the importance of religious literacy. We ended the evening showing the 10-minute exclusive demo to friends, family, and supporters.

Thank you to the Niagara Foundation for hosting in Mt. Prospect and the Peoria Art Guild for hosting in Peoria. We send our gratitude to those who donated refreshments, appetizers, and their time in helping set up these fundraisers.

We raised funds to begin filming on the first day of school, August 14th, but we are still looking for more support to fund our crew. We want to "show" rather than "tell" the student's stories, so being in the classroom as much as possible is crucial. Each donation helps us tell this story better. Thank you to all who have donated so far!

If you weren't able to make it to a fundraiser, please consider supporting the film by donating online. Thank you so much to those who have already donated!

If you want to host a fundraiser of your own (and share the 10-minute exclusive demo video with your friends and family) or you know someone who might be interested, reach out to and let us know. We are looking to host more fundraisers this Fall!
